Ontwikkeling XXB (extra extra breed) Binnenvaart Containerschip (27 juni 2008)

  • De gangboorden in het midden vervallen, waardoor er een groter laadruim ontstaat en minder materiaal en gewicht in het casco nodig is;

Delivery of 12,000 TDW Tanker (1 June 2007)

On May 4th MSN completed the delivery of the cargo handling and engine room systems to Volharding Shipyard of the second 12000 Tdw tanker named W-O Tsjoch, yardno. 583. The previous vessel W-O Chia, with yardno. 582 was delivered at the beginning of this year.

These two vessels are the last IMO II tankers outfitted by MSN at the Volharding location in Harlingen. At this moment MSN is still working on two additional 10.000 product tankers and the last two out of the series of four stainless steel chemical tankers.

Upon delivery of the systems and yardno. 583 to her new owners, the vessel set sail to load her first cargos.

Nowadays with shipyards building hulls abroad, MSN has proven to be a flexible and reliable partner in executing outfitting a vessel with the hull construction in various countries. Thus enabling shipyards to save valuable time during outfitting process at their locations in the Netherlands.

In addition MSN cooperates with shipyards in outfitting a vessel completely abroad by supplying knowledge, engineering, components, building supervision and commissioning of MSN developed systems at any location anywhere around the globe. This enables shipowners to obtain vessels at cheaper foreign building rates, without compromising on the high quality standards of Dutch shipbuilding.

Delivery of an engine room and a hydraulic system installation (27 March 2007)

For Vosta LMG Amsterdam, MSN has satisfactorily completed the delivery of the engine room and hydraulic system installation onboard a cutter suction dredger type CSD 600S.

From start of the engineering in September 2006 until delivery in March 2007, 6 months of intensive efforts have passed, resulting in a complete vessel afloat at the dock in Amsterdam.

This marks a new milestone in our relationship with Vosta LMG Amsterdam, after being granted partial deliveries of either engineering, or piping or components for other projects such as CSD500 for Namibia and Malaysia, MSN has now supplied her complete range of services; system engineering, delivery of piping and components, and outfitting on location.

The overall length of this CSD600, including spud carrier, is approx. 75 meters, with over 600 kW of cutter power available.

The completed vessel will now be dismantled for transport by sea and over land by trucks, to her final destination in the salt pans of Jordan.

12000 tanker

The hull has been built at the Volharding yard in Turkey, where MSN has supplied and installed most stainless steel piping on the cargo deck. The company MPI, a full member of MSH, in Turkey has executed these works. This enabled the yard to complete the painting works on the cargo deck.

Nowadays with shipyards building more and more hulls abroad, MSN has proven to be a flexible and reliable partner in executing outfitting a vessel simultaneously with the hull construction in various countries. Thus enabling shipyards to save valuable time during outfitting process at their locations in the Netherlands.

Delivery of first 3520 chemical tanker

The first out of a series of four chemical tankers for which MSN delivers the engine room and cargo outfitting, is delivered as m/t Clipper Sira to her new owner Brodrene Klovning A/S.

MSN received orders for this vessel with yardno. VG 598 in April 2005 together with yardno. 601.

These vessels are all stainless steel chemical tankers with 10 cargo tanks, suitable for loading 5 different grades of chemicals simultaneously. MSN installed the complete engine room and cargo handling systems.  The cargo piping is all stainless steel which meets the highest requirements of shippers, classification societies and international environmental regulations.

Scheepvaart en Transportcollege in Rotterdam

At the moment a new accommodation is built for Scheepvaart en Transport College (STC) in Rotterdam. In this complex a large space is reserved for building a copy of an engine room. No stone is left unturned in order to make it as realistic and innovative as possible. Innovation appears from the fuel cell for uninterruptable power supply, which is expected to be used more often in the future shipping- and energy industry.
